INTRODUCTION and WELCOME

Welcome to EDUCATIONAL IMAGES LTD. latest catalog.

We feel that this new format enables us to give you a better feel for our products and what
they can do for your educational efforts than ever before--we have included a sample of the actual
program content with most descriptive write-ups. In addition, now you can see numerous pictures
and graphics as they actually appear. (FYI: The numbers that appear after the term "CONTENT
SAMPLE" indicate the location in the program from which the sample was selected.)

We have added Botany, Earth Science, Medical Related and more Basic Biology
materials to the Zoology, Natural History and Environmental Science materials listed previously.
Human systems and physiology will be added as soon as possible. If you need information about
these materials quickly please contact us.

You will find CD-ROM, video, computer and slide programs listed. (We started publishing
slide programs for educators in 1969 and still feel that slides are the most versatile, flexible, easy
way to present high quality images and detailed, individualized content to any audience.) Also
listed are numerous filmstrip programs at big markdowns.

Because of limited space, in many cases we have grouped related titles into single
entries. This has worked to your benefit because we have heavily DISCOUNTED THESE
BUNDLES, 20 to 25%, OFTEN MUCH MORE! Although programs can always be purchased
individually, this is really the time to stock up at a bargain price before we have to discontinue the
discounts.

You are free to print out or copy as much of this catalog as you would like or need, and
pass the printouts or catalog disks on to interested colleagues, students or parents.

You are encouraged to use the information and images in this catalog in your lessons
and classroom activities, so long as it is not for any commercial activity. (Please see section
on COPYRIGHT & REPRODUCING IMAGES for details of this license.)

FOR THOSE WITH INSTALLABLE VERSIONS OF THIS CATALOG
(available on disk on request and on many of our CD-ROMS)

The SEARCH utility (binocular icon) will be especially useful in finding specific subjects
you need--it is a very nice and simple search system. Just enter topics, titles or other key
words and go where it tells you. Use it from the opening screen to search all the subsections.
Do not forget to scroll through the "categories" box to find every subsection in which your topic is
mentioned.

The VIEW button provides three different ways to scan the contents of a category, two of
which provide summary information on your order.

I hope you enjoy the neat SCREEN SAVER utility. Because the installation defaults to
the first section of our catalog--this introduction--and there are no associated images, you should
go to Desktop under Control Panel (Windows 3.1) or Display (Windows 95), go to Screen Saver,
click on MiniCat Screen Saver, click on Settings, and scroll through the section headings
available to call up the most interesting group of images. (This is much easier to do than to read
about.) This can always be changed when you want something different, and is removed if you
uninstall the catalog.

The built-in order form will also be helpful when planning purchases, but please
remember that in order to bill your school we must have an official purchase order. Credit card
or prepaid orders do not require one.

Be assured that although this program can easily be uninstalled if you need the space,
and reinstalled at a later time. To Uninstall, click under Catalog on the opening screen then
select Uninstall.

You are free to print out as much of this catalog as you would like or need, and pass the
printouts or the catalog disk itself on to interested colleagues, students or parents. Because it
contains compressed files, the disk itself cannot be copied by ordinary means.
